Its just a bare bones wiring.
Continuity between positive and negative battery cables.
Joe measuring resistance across the cables won t tell you anything.
The switch is turned off and i have no alarm.
One very common culprit is the voltage regulator.
Cenjim your right i didn t say that right.
The battery is at 11 96v and has 0 ohms of resistance between the negative and positive terminals.
What i wanted to say was i hook the clip to the negative battery cable and touch the other end to the positive cable and there is continuity between both of them.
You need to measure current draw with everything turned off and the doors closed.
I ve even tried to just hook the positive cable up and the negative cable with none of the other wiring hooked up.
When we connect the positive and negative terminals to a multimeter we have continuity should we have continuity when there is no battery hooked upand the alternator is not installed it is certainly possible that you have.
Test the negative battery cable by using the same procedure as above for the positive cable but this time you will have the red lead of the multimeter touching the metal housing of the starter motor and the black lead of the multimeter connected to the negative battery terminal.
Again you should see a reading of 0 3 volts or less to be.

Less than 05a is acceptable.
Connect the positive battery cable to the battery.
Shorted diodes in the.
